A source at NBC has told Bud Fox News that Brian Williams’ six-month suspension will allow him to work on a project that he’s been pitching to the network for several months. Said the source:
When he first pitched this project, we all thought he was joking, but he was dead serious. The guy is truly ready for the funny farm.
Meant to be a TV travelogue, Williams’ project will show him visiting a number of well known spots and conducting interviews with the locals. According to the source, people knew Williams was a straight-jacket candidate when he spoke about the destinations he had in mind. The source provided Bud Fox News a list of Williams’ proposed destinations. They include the following:
- District 12
- Shutter Island
- Mount Olympus
- Twin Peaks, WA
- Narnia
- Hogwarts
- Animal Farm
- Middle Earth
- Hotel California
- Suffragette City
According to the source, the pitch meeting quickly became uncomfortable:
When he showed us a list of places he wanted to feature on the show, the room went pin-drop silent. That’s when people got shit scared. No joke, he thinks these places are real. So to be honest, the suspension works on a number of levels. One, he’ll be happy because he’ll get to work on his crazy idea. Two, it makes NBC look ethical to anyone who’s stupid enough to think we didn’t know he’s been lying his ass off for years. And three, we get a seriously delusional and possibly dangerous person off the air.
The best place for Brain Williams to visit is a Liars Anonymous meeting.
